Mirko Bischofberger, the company’s founder, brings a wealth of experience as a former director and a dedicated advocate for Swiss cinema. His involvement in key industry organizations, including the Swiss Federal Film Commission (EFIK), Cinésuisse, the ARF/FDS directors’ association and Suissimage, underscores his commitment to nurturing the next generation of filmmakers. On top, as the founder and main force behind the Swiss Fiction Movement, Mirko has championed innovative voices and played a pivotal role in shaping the landscape of Swiss film culture.

Agnition Film was born out of his struggle and belief: the realization that years of experience, both behind the camera and in film policy, could be channeled into producing great movies. The name "Agnition" reflects this moment of recognition, marking the transition from making films and shaping policy to producing, with the essence of filmmaking at its core.
